Sales Team

Jim Boren – President


Jim Boren joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in June 1978. He has personally worked with every account in the territory during his tenure. He has been instrumental in all phases of the company’s growth and management for over 40 years. He has a hands-on management style and enjoys working with customers. Jim studied at University of Pacific and holds a B.A. from the University of Washington.

Jim’s other pursuits include mountaineering, skiing, tennis, trail running and the arts.

Mike Koplitz – Senior Account Manager


Mike Koplitz joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in July 1992. Mike has been in the home improvement industry since 1984. Prior to joining PJB, Mike spent over 8 years working in retail hardware and grocery industries working his way up to store management. Mike’s wealth of product knowledge makes him a go to person on product related issues. Mike’s goal is to grow the business for both our manufacturers and customers while having each ones best interest in mind. Mike handles various E-Commerce and brick and mortar accounts.

Mike’s other interests include camping, hiking, sports and he is a big fan of the Seahawks and Mariners!

Roberto Welcome – Senior Account Manager

Roberto Welcome joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2019. Roberto began his sales career in 1986, selling to military exchanges in Italy and throughout Europe prior to moving to Dallas where he headed the Consumer Electronic division for a privately-owned manufacturers’ representative company. Moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2000 marked the beginning of a 19-year relationship selling major CPG brands to Costco Wholesale.
Roberto received his Business degree from Universita Degli Studi Di Napoli Federico II, Napoli, Italia.

Roberto’s other interests include Seahawks football, good food, music, outdoor activities, and cycling.

Karina Ceron – Account Manager

Karina Ceron joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in February 2013. Prior to joining PJB, she served four years in the U.S. Navy, where she provided administrative support to the Chief of Staff and Executive Officer of Commander Submarine U.S. Pacific Fleet. Karina background includes 5 years of administration support in the construction industry, working alongside engineers, distributors and contractors. Karina received a BS in Business Administration Management from Hawaii Pacific University.

Karina’s other interest include: Traveling, running and staying active.

Rob Dixon – Account Manager


Rob Dixon joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in May 2013.  Rob has over 20 years experience in Home Improvement products and account management.  He comes with a strong background of Electrical, Plumbing & Hardware categories.  Rob covers Oregon and Southwest Washington accounts.  He handles all aspects of the accounts he calls on, including sales, marketing and customer service, while representing the manufacturer’s need to reach their goals.

Rob’s other pursuits include playing soccer, music and traveling.



Christiane Herrera – Associate Account Manager

Christiane Herrera joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in October 2018. Prior to joining PJB, she worked at SAVERS, Pacific Sales-Kitchen & Bath (Best Buy), The TJX Companies, Inc., and Big 5 Sporting Goods, as an assistant buyer, merchant analyst, and a merchandising assistant respectively. Christiane graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a B.S. in Business Administration with a Marketing Emphasis.

Christiane’s other interests include traveling, music, art, fashion, and interior design.

Clarey Maus – Associate Account Manager

Clarey Maus joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in March 2021. As a Seattleite, she has over a decade of experience in B2B and B2C sales with local businesses and non-profits in the Pacific Northwest. Her entrepreneurial spirit can be shown in her negotiation tactics, business development skills and her eye for growth opportunities. Prior to joining PJB, she was a Business Development Manager at a local non-profit.

Her interests include crocheting, baking, party planning and day trips.

eCommerce Team

Alex Simon – Managing Director, eCommerce


Alex Simon joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in July  2016. Alex brings strong experience in CPG Sales and Marketing most recently as Senior Vendor Manager in Retail Home Improvement at Amazon. Alex’s strengths lie in analytics and helping brands achieve their marketing and e-commerce objectives. Alex earned a BS in Business from Indiana University Kelley School and an MBA with a specialization in brand and product management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Alex’s other interests include tennis, sailing, and collecting PEZ dispensers.


Darren Tyo – Director, eCommerce

Darren Tyo joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2019.  Darren brings over 30 years’ experience working in the automotive retail aftermarket.  Prior to PJB, he worked at CSK Auto, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Carquest.  He most recently worked at Amazon holding the position of Manager of Vendor Management overseeing teams on both the Automotive storefront and Prime Video.  Darren thrives on cultivating business growth and maximizing sales opportunities.

Darren’s other interests include traveling, hunting, fishing, and trying new local restaurants


Aaron Paul – Account Manager

AARON-PAULAaron Paul joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2016. He brings over 10 years of experience in customer service, and 6 years in the world of eCommerce and website management. Prior to joining PJB, Aaron worked for two of the largest sports organizations in their respective leagues. Aaron graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University.

Aaron’s other interests include football, camping, music, computers and anything food related


Amber Conn – Account Manager

Amber Conn joined Philip J Boren in October 2019. She brings a strong background in eCommerce, site merchandising, and retail management.

Prior eCommerce experience includes Account Manager for strategic soft lines (Apparel) at Amazon and Merchandise Specialist at Nordstrom.

Amber earned a BA in Communication Studies at Western Washington University.

Amber’s other interests include trivia nights, traveling, and exploring the PNW.

Austin Bright – Account Manager

Austin Bright joined Philip J. Boren, Inc, in January 2021.  Prior to joining PJB, Austin was an eCommerce Category Specialist at IRIS USA where he managed business for some of the largest US retailers across multiple categories including home, office, arts and craft, pet, furniture, and home appliances.

He brings experience in buyer negotiation, promotional planning, product development, new product launch, and on-site merchandising.  Austin graduated summa cum laude from Arizona Christian University with a degree in Business Administration.

His other interests include golfing, marathon running, reading, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Beth Manke – Account Manager

Beth Manke joined Philip J. Boren in September 2019. She brings extensive experience in eCommerce, business development, merchandising, and data analysis, most recently as a member of the Digital Merchandising Team with Lowes.com.  She earned her BS in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Beth’s other interests include travel, hiking, skiing, and baking.


Maajid Khan – Account Manager

Maajid was a Vendor Manager at Amazon.com prior to joining PJB and has interned at Visa, The Judge Group, Veooz Labs and worked on Jason Ritchie’s campaign for Congress.

Maajid grew up in the Seattle area. He enjoys collecting perfumes and sneakers. He recently took time off from work to spend time with family and travel.

Fun fact – He currently has over 60 pairs of sneakers now and the collection is still growing.

Olivia Byron – Account Manager

Prior to joining PJB, Olivia was a Vendor Manager, Brand Specialist at Amazon. Before that she worked at ATGstores.com as a PR Specialist and Vendor Management Analyst.

Olivia is a local girl. She grew up in Snohomish. She received her bachelor’s degree from University of Idaho. She is a dog lover and gets her fix by visiting her parents’ dogs – two South African Boerboels. She enjoys reading (mostly fantasy and psychology), traveling, and learning new things. She is currently looking to take up sword fighting!

Fun fact – She is a South African big game hunter and grew up going on safaris. She was also in a music video and a British reality show a few years ago.

Zach Morales – Account Manager

Zach Morales joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in August 2017. Prior to joining PJB, he worked at Microsoft, Sprint, and Bell Creek Studio, as an analyst, lead sales representative, and a marketing consultant respectively. He loves unique challenges that enable him to be creative. He graduated from Western Washington University with a B.A. in Business Administration, Marketing Concentration, and also studied audio engineering at Fairhaven College.

Zach’s other interests include eating well, being active, music, and traveling.

Shawna Shadlow – Associate Account Manager, eCommerce

Shawna Shadlow joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2021. She brings strong experience in e-commerce account management and growing sales through visual merchandising and marketing. Prior to joining PJB, Shawna worked at Washington Shoe Company, Amazon, and Zulily. She earned her B.A. degree in Apparel, Merchandising, Design, and Textiles from Washington State University.

Shawna’s other interests include fashion & graphic design, music, art, and traveling.

Will Giersch – Senior Content & Marketing Manager, eCommerce

Will joined Philip J. Boren, Inc in March 2020.  Will brings a strong agency background in digital marketing and advertising, including content, SEO/SEM, and paid search/PPC advertising.  Will most recently was an Account Director with 9 years’ experience managing prominent brands on Amazon’s platform. 

Will is an expert in both Amazon Vendor Central platform and Amazon Advertising (paid search advertising), as well as multi-channel content (Walmart, global, syndication, and more). He helped many of the world’s top brands achieve optimal online sales, visibility, and market share with tailored ecommerce strategies via best-in-class product-detail content and paid search campaigns.  Will is also a talented project manager with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Will earned a B.A. in Journalism from University of Washington. 

Will’s other interest include hiking and camping, competing in team sports, and playing with his young son.

Adrian Muniz – Site Merchandising Manager, eCommerce

Adrian brings over a decade of retail merchant experience, primarily in the fashion industry. Adrian’s career in fashion began as an intern/freelancer at Women’s Wear Daily/W Magazine his senior year of college. He then worked in sales for Marc Jacobs at various locations across the Northeast. Later, He joined Macy’s Inc as an Executive Trainee/Assistant Buyer in 2010. Most recently, Adrian was a Vendor Manager in Shoes and Apparel at Amazon where his employment began in February 2015. Adrian earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University.

When he isn’t at work, Adrian can be found frequenting movie theatres across Seattle.

Andre Torres – Site Merchandising Manager, eCommerce

Andre Torres joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2021. Andre has a wealth of experience in helping brands and retailers accelerate growth in eCommerce through content optimization, catalog organization, and digital marketing strategies. Leveraging his strengths in data analysis, project management, and collaborative leadership, Andre has delivered results in retail, CPG, and agency organizations. He was most recently an Amazon Account Manager developing brand growth strategies at Buy Box Experts. Andre earned a BA in Latin American Studies from Tulane University.

Andre’s other interests include beach days, video games, and collecting pop culture artwork.

Brian Willard – Marketing Manager, eCommerce

Brian Willard joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in September of 2020. Brian has excelled in digital marketing strategies for both consumer-packaged goods and consumer services, most recently as the North American Marketing Manager for a premium pet consumables manufacturer. Brian’s most notable strength is utilizing data and analytics to develop high-performing eCommerce campaigns focused on the individual customer journey. Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, marketing & economics from the University of Washington. While in school, Brian served as a Student Senator and member of the Marketing Society. 

Brian’s personal interests include travel, mixing music, and a profound love for giraffes. 

Tosha Maize – Site Merchandising Manager, eCommerce

Tosha Maize joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April of 2021. Tosha has experience in retail, wholesale, and ecommerce sales channels.  She is experienced in go-to-market strategy planning, merchandise management, and vendor relations.  Additionally, Tosha has 11 years of International business experience. Prior to joining PJB, Tosha worked as a Senior Vendor Manager in the Fashion category at Amazon.  She earned a B.S. in Fashion from the University of Central Missouri and participated in a study abroad program focusing on international business.

Tosha is fluent in Dutch and enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her children.

Kendra Tyboroski – Associate Site Merchandising Manager, eCommerce

Kendra Tyboroski joined Philip J Boren in June 2021. She has a diverse background across merchandising, marketing, and vendor management, including previous roles at Amazon, Nordstrom, and Target. Kendra received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and French from Regis University, and graduated with an MFA in Fashion Marketing from LIM College.

Kendra’s other interests include running, road trips and baking.

Data Science Team

Stan Dotloe – Director, Data Science & Analytics

Stan joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in August 2017. He has a passion for uncovering actionable insights through advanced analytics and data visualizations. Stan has conducted comprehensive training and brought award winning machine learning solutions to companies of all sizes. Stan comes to us from Northwest Cadence where he was the Data Science Practice Lead. Prior to that he was the Application Lifestyle Management Developer. Stan graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science, focusing on Computer Science and Mathematics.

Stan’s other interests include reading, home automation, and resistance training.

Alexandra Pawlak – Principal Software Developer


Alexandra Pawlak joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in September 2018. She has a background in customer service and ecommerce retail. Alexandra holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Systems with a focus in Data Science from the University of Washington. Her graduate projects included advanced analytics and IoT.

Alexandra’s other interests include baking, reading, Whirlyball, and home improvement projects.

Administration Team

Emmy Murano – Controller

Emmy Murano joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in December 2017. She brings over 20 years of public and corporate accounting experience. Emmy has worked at various companies – large and small, but found her true passion is working for privately held companies where she could implement ideas for improving processes and procedures. Emmy graduated from California State University, Northridge with a B.S. in Business Administration with an option in Accounting and is a California CPA (inactive).

Emmy’s other interests include dog rescue, home remodeling, and playing board games.

Patty O’Dea – Office/Project Manager

Patty joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in March 2017. Prior to joining PJB, Patty worked for over 15 years with The Hertz Corporation where she supported accounts encompassing mid-size up to Fortune 500 accounts. Patty brings extensive experience in customer service, sales, and account management. Patty graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Portland State University.

Patty’s other interests include hiking and watching football.

Andra King – Accountant/IT Support

Andra G. King joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in October 2019. Andra started her accounting career at Ernst & Young, where she worked in the Fraud, Investigation and Dispute Services (FIDS) department. Andra’s other accounting roles include work in the healthcare arena in both regional hospital and nonprofit healthcare organizations.

Andra graduated from Glamorgan University, UK with an MSc in Forensic Accounting and is working towards her CPA.

Andra’s other interests include dancing, scrapbooking and bartending.
