    Sales Team

    Jim Boren – President


    Jim Boren joined Philip J Boren, Inc. in June 1978. He has personally worked with every account in the territory during his tenure. He has been instrumental in all phases of the company’s growth and management for over 35 years. He has a hands-on management style and enjoys working with customers. Jim studied at University of Pacific and holds a B.A. from the University of Washington.

    Jim’s other pursuits include mountaineering, skiing, tennis, trail running and the arts.

    Mike Koplitz – Senior Account Manager


    Mike Koplitz joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in July 1992. Mike has been in the home improvement industry since 1984. Prior to joining PJB, Mike spent over 8 years working in retail hardware and grocery industries working his way up to store management. Mike’s wealth of product knowledge makes him a go to person on product related issues. Mike’s goal is to grow the business for both our manufacturers and customers while having each ones best interest in mind. Mike handles various E-Commerce and brick and mortar accounts.

    Mike’s other interests include camping, hiking, sports and he is a big fan of the Seahawks and Mariners!

    Paul Blustein – Senior Account Manager


    Paul Blustein joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2007. He has been an outside sales rep for 30 years with headquarter responsibilities for the majority of his tenure. Paul worked for two Fortune 500 companies prior to joining Philip J. Boren. He handles all aspects of the accounts he calls on, including sales, marketing and customer service, while representing the manufacturer’s needs to reach their goals. Paul is a graduate of the University of Washington in Marketing.

    Paul’s other interests include traveling, salmon fishing, hiking and running.


    Terri Johnson – Account Manager


    Terri Johnson joined Philip J Boren, Inc. in August of 2009.  Terri has 20 years’ experience representing multiple manufactures across several categories, becoming a specialist in the Club industry.  Her thorough knowledge of the industry, as well as strong technical and organizational background, assures strong representation for manufacturers seeking exposure to this market.

    Terri’s other interests include photography, hiking and enjoying the arts.

    Karina Ceron – Account Manager


    Karina Ceron joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in February 2013. Prior to joining PJBi, she served four years in the U.S. Navy, where she provided administrative support to the Chief of Staff and Executive Officer of Commander Submarine U.S. Pacific Fleet. Karina background includes 5 years of administration support in the construction industry, working alongside engineers, distributors and contractors. Karina received a BS in Business Administration Management from Hawaii Pacific University.

    Karina’s other interest include: Traveling, running and staying active.

    Rob Dixon – Account Manager


    Rob Dixon joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in May 2013.  Rob has over 20 years experience in Home Improvement products and account management.  He comes with a strong background of Electrical, Plumbing & Hardware categories.  Rob covers Oregon and Southwest Washington accounts.  He handles all aspects of the accounts he calls on, including sales, marketing and customer service, while representing the manufacturer’s need to reach their goals.

    Rob’s other pursuits include playing soccer, music and traveling.



    Alex Simon – Senior Account Manager


    Alex Simon joined Philip J Boren, Inc. in July  2016. Alex brings strong experience in CPG Sales and Marketing most recently as Senior Vendor Manager in Retail Home Improvement at Amazon. Alex’s strengths lie in analytics and helping brands achieve their marketing and e-commerce objectives. Alex earned a BS in Business from Indiana University Kelley School and an MBA with a specialization in brand and product management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


    Alex’s other interests include tennis, sailing, and collecting PEZ dispensers.


    Colin Zinnecker – Senior Account Manager

    Colin joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2017. Prior to joining PJB, Colin worked at Amazon and Target. During his tenure with Target, Colin built teams to drive logistics process improvements throughout the organization. While at Amazon, Colin developed growth strategies for vendors across the home improvement, furniture, home décor, kitchen, and lawn and garden categories. He also created rapid growth plans for newly launched vendors. Colin earned a BBA in Global Business Management from Pacific Lutheran University and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Texas A&M.

    Colin’s other interest include traveling, skiing, playing and coaching lacrosse, hiking, backpacking, & eating out far too often!

    Administration Team

    David Skanse – Accounting, Technology


    David Skanse joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in September 2010. He comes with a solid understanding of accounting and credit management. His background working in purchasing and inventory control allows him to quickly understand customer’s needs and enjoy success through long lasting relationships benefiting both the account and the vendor partners. David has a reputation as being a fast learner, who is dependable, organized and computer savvy.  David earned a BS in Accounting from Central Washington University.

    David’s other interests include hiking, music and computers.



    Chris Kelly – Data Analyst, Marketing Manager

    Chris-KChris Kelly joined Philip J Boren, Inc. in April 2015. He brings over 15 years of eCommerce experience and analysis from the world of retail, sports, and gaming. Chris’s strengths lie in web analysis, product management, and quality assurance combined with a deep understanding of positive interfaces for the online customer. Chris graduated with a BS in Economics from Santa Clara University and is fluent in Spanish.

    Chris’s other interests include traveling, soccer officiating, golf, and music.

    Aaron Paul – Asst. Acct Manager

    AARON-PAULAaron Paul joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in April 2016. He brings over 10 years of experience in customer service, and 6 years in the world of eCommerce and website management. Prior to joining Philip J. Boren, Aaron worked for two of the largest sports organizations in their respective leagues. Aaron graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University.

    Aaron’s other interests include football, camping, music, computers and anything food related


    Patty O’Dea – Asst. Acct Manager

    Patty joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in March 2017. Prior to joining PJB, Patty worked for over 15 years with The Hertz Corporation where she supported accounts encompassing mid-size up to Fortune 500 accounts. Patty brings extensive experience in customer service, sales, and account management. Patty graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Portland State University.

    Patty’s other interests include hiking and watching football.

    Tony Lim – Content Developer

    Tony Lim joined Philip J Boren, Inc. in March 2017. Prior to joining PJB, Tony worked for Amazon, Starbucks, and Google, where he specialized in data management and quality assurance. Tony is a quick learner and embraces opportunities to gain a new skill. He attended the University of Washington and earned a B.A. in Geographic Information Systems and Architecture.

    Tony’s other interests include: his dog, new technology, and exercising.

    Yamuna Ponnusamy – Web Analytics and Business Intelligence

    Yamuna Ponnusamy joined Philip J. Boren, Inc. in July 2017. Prior to joining PJB, Yamuna worked as a Product Manager for Vectone Mobile Ltd, London and Sr. Business Analyst for Sakthi Industries Group. While at Vectone mobile, she has developed the Business strategies, GTM strategies, and managed Ecom & Online Marketing. She is certified Google Analytics and Google Adwords partner. She has published more than 10 papers about her research on Multipath Routing, Wireless Sensor Network in International Journals. Yamuna earned MBA from University of Sunderland London campus and M.Tech Information Technology from Anna University, Chennai.

    Yamuna’s other interest include: Gardening, cooking and travelling.
